Human-Centered Smart Cities at Campus Party with IGPDecaux
For the second consecutive year IGPDecaux participated to Campus Party, the biggest international format focused on creativity and innovation. IGPDecaux, as Main Sponsor of the event, held a thematic stage called “Cities the new deal”, inspired by the latest publication from JCDecaux.
The stage, presenting a three days programme – starting from the 19th to the 21st of July - faced the specific focus of the Human Centered Smart City involving national and international speakers. Five main topics - StartUp Trends, Smart PA, Feeding the City, Bridging City & Business, Urban Planning and Public Design- have been discussed during the event, giving voice to the main stakeholders of the city: public administrations, universities, companies, start-up and all the public space users, or citizens. Sustainability, Open Innovation, Digital Cities and IoT were just some of the topics deepened during the three-days event.
The Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala opened the stage putting the attention on the city of Milan, conceived as an international, metropolitan and innovative city. Successively, the city Councillor in charge of Urbanism, Green and Agriculture, Pierfrancesco Maran, delivered a speech focused on the Milan of 2030.
The centrality of the main topic opened an interesting debate on the Smart Consumers and therefore on the citizens, considered as the main users of the smart city’s services. In particular, the event reached the Millennial audiences, the ones that can better support IGPDecaux’s Open Innovation.
