IGPDecaux honors the city of Milan supporting as media partner the "Leonardo Mai Visto” exhibition, open to the public from the 16th of May 2019 to the 12th of January 2020. The exhibition consists of three itineraries which lead the visitors to the discovery of the artistic and scientific work of Leonardo, and is part of the rich programme of initiatives called "Milano Leonardo 500".
The programme has been promoted and realized by the Municipality of Milan and the Sforza Castle, in co-production with Civita Mostre e Musei, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death and the extraordinary reopening of the Sala delle Asse which is still being restored. From the latest works have been found fragments of the preparatory drawings and the decorations of leaves, branches and fruits designed by Leonardo da Vinci in 1498.
IGPDecaux, in collaboration with Civita Mostre and Musei, handled the installation of the external mulberry pergola in the Cortile delle Armi of the Sforza Castle, a 1:2 scale representation of the decorations designed by Leonardo da Vinci in the Sala delle Asse, and set up the high-definition digital screen introducing the visitors with what will be admired in the spectacular Sala of the Castle.
Milan is a significant place both for IGPDecaux and for the entire artistic work of Leonardo da Vinci, who realized many of his masterpieces during the years spent in the city. IGPDecaux takes care of the urban spaces realizing outdoor communication projects with the aim of improving the quality of life of the inhabitants.
Through this initiative IGPDecaux supported the city of Milan and the Leonardesque engineerses.
