IGPDecaux Digital arrives in Naples
The Public Transports Company of Naples, ANM, assigned to IGPDecaux a European public contest for the design and management of new Digital Underground Solutions.
On top of restyling the existing network, IGPDecaux has also planned the installation of 26 brand new iVision Monitors (70" & 80") within 7 artistically relevant stations ("Le stazioni dell'arte") of Line 1: Vanvitelli, Toledo, Museo, Garibaldi, Municipio, Augusteo, P.tta Fuga. The new Digital Network adapts to the Underground environment and enhances its cultural heritage, which is considered one of the most beautiful worldwide.
Naples Underground joins the others DIgital Assets of IGPDecaux (Undergrounds in Milan, Rome and Brescia; Milan Airports of Linate, Malpensa, Orio and Caselle Airport of Turin; Street Furniture of Milan) and amplifies planners interest by creating a Nationwide Network of 300 Screens.
Naples will soon offer ad hoc solutions such as Naming and Station Dominations; and for the future new technological opportunities such as the development of high speed internet coverage (wifi and small cells).
